We have many ways you can get involved with Longmont Sister Cities as a volunteer. Some options include:

HOMESTAY COORDINATOR
  • Find homestays for adults and students coming in from Chino, Japan and Ciudad Guzmán, México

HELP WITH OTHER FUNDRAISERS FOR OUR STUDENTS
  • Organize a car wash
  • Organize a garage sale
  • Organize a bake sale
  • Organize a raffle
  • Serve drinks/food at various local sporting events

HELP FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENTS
  • Chaperone an event
  • Help with airport pick-up/drop-off
  • Translating Spanish/Japanese/English
  • Cook for our August Thanksgiving banquet
  • Help host families
  • Be a host family for a student/adult chaperone
  • Help plan activities

HELP STUDENTS PREPARE FOR THEIR TRIPS
  • Cultural and safety discussions
  • Language classes
  • Photography tips
  • Help students prepare a dance/song presentation, or another kind of presentation

NEWSLETTER
  • Prepare an article or contribute photos for our newsletter

EVENT PUBLICITY
  • Create/distribute and take down flyers
  • Publicize our events in schools and newspapers
